Remember when I said I wanted to see what would happen if I actually put my whole ass into the business? Well I did. And I saw some pretty bad ass results!
Since my first blog post on 10/20, I started to put in the work and things actually started to shift into a good way. Not in a dramatic, “pity party/faking harassment (iykyk)” kind of way, but in a “I’ve been consistent, focused, and shockingly responsible” way.
And I got some good evidence to show and tell with yall!
Since 10/20, I have done 2 events, had 11 wholesale orders, and 14 online orders. The revenue from the wholesale & online orders is 40% more than the revenue from the events. And that is what I have wanted from the beginning!
My mindset has changed too. I am no longer spending hours prepping for markets. I decided what I had packed was enough, refilled that inventory as necessary and focused on other parts of my business. And would you look at that, the sales reflected that shift.
Apparently, resting and prioritizing are good for business. Wild concept.
Consistency is another big win.
This is week four: I am on blog 4, written two emails ON TIME, and I have bricked my phone for a total of 79 hours and 23 minutes.
THE PRODUCTIVITY. I legit can’t shut up about it. I am telling all of my small biz friends. And every night, I love listing out a verbal bullet-point list to Zach of everything I’ve accomplished.
Let’s talk about my new best friend: Brick. I should give it a name. It’s a bad bitch, so it definitely needs a strong name. Drop your suggestions in the comments.
I started this little experiment thinking it’d help me stay off social media. Instead, it’s turned me into a whole new human. I’m no longer chronically online, and yes, I’ve missed a few memes or the hottest TikTok lore, but none of them were paying my bills anyway.
When the phone’s bricked, I get things done.
When it’s not, I scroll myself into a coma.
Yesterday, I didn’t brick it. And guess what: my productivity dropped. But the difference now? I didn’t spiral about it. I still managed to get my non-negotiables done, which is a huge mindset shift. I even recruited one other person to buy a brick. (The links for it will get you 10% off!)
Turns out, it’s not just the big, flashy changes that matter.
The little tweaks, like writing down two non-negotiables every day, have made the biggest impact. Small, consistent effort actually works.
Apparently, discipline is effective. Hate that for me, but… kind of obsessed with the results.
I haven’t done a single late-night work session since starting all this.
When Zach gets home, I’m done. I turn off my neon lights (if you watch my stories, you know what’s up), and I don’t feel guilty about it. I actually enjoy my evenings now without that constant voice whispering, “you should be working.”
Balance might actually exist for me. Someone alert the press.
If I could send a message to the me who is about to starting writing Blog 1, it would be this:
“just fucking do it. You’ll be fine. The cha-chings will come through. And on the days you’re not feeling motivated, remember that the work you already did is still paying off.”
My ass is putting in the work and I got the numbers prove it.
I’ve been putting in the work for wholesale and I finally feel like I’m in a rhythm. The systems are working, the orders are flowing, and the mental doubt is (mostly) quiet.
Next up? Bringing that same energy to my website and social media for my direct-to-consumer business.
Bricked & Busy,
Erin

I feel very personally targeted by all of the positive things I hear about the Brick.
